National Recruiting Agency is a newly approved agency by the central government cabinet to conduct national wide government examinations.
In February of 2020, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in the Union Budget, announced the proposal of setting up a new agency to conduct a national-wide eligibility test. And hence considering the announcement, the Central government has made a new examination agency, and now it is called the National Recruiting Agency. Although the Central Government has ideated to use this CET score to recruit officers for future jobs, this CET will be initially inducted in only three Central Government based sectors.
The three sectors in which initially CET will be conducted are- Railway Recruitment Board, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, and Staff Selection Commission.

Common Eligibility Test (CET):

Process of application for CET:

The application for CET can be done via the online portal suggested by National Recruiting Agency (NRA). The registration will be common as all the online govt. examinations that are held to date. And the fees of application for the examination will be a one-time payment.

Where is the CET conducted?

The National Recruiting Agency (NRA) is planning to examination centers in each district so that every aspirant could attempt the examination without facing any difficulties before and during the exam. Therefore the candidates appearing for CET of a particular district need not travel outside their district.

The pattern of the examination:

The National Recruiting Agency (NRA), is planning the conduct the CET through its central server, where the question bank consisting of all the possible questions is present. So, during the conduction of examination, the algorithm used by the NRA will come into play. The algorithm will pop out questions from the question bank of NRA's central server and sends those questions to the candidates appearing for the examination. The algorithm manages to send a unique set of questions to every candidate appearing for the Common Eligibility Test (CET). Hence, each candidate appearing for the examination will be questioned with a different set of exam paper, to ensure minimal malpractice and reduce the paper leakage.

Result of the Common Eligibility Test (CET):

The result of the examination will be announced in very little time, online. The result of the examination will be valid for 3 years. The CET aspirants can attempt the examination as many times as they could within the eligible age limit. The highest score of all the examinations will be taken into account.

How many times the CET is conducted in a year?

For the convenience of candidates appearing for the examination, this Common Eligibility Test (CET), will be conducted twice a year.
Finally, the historic and bold decision taken by the Central Government is to beneficiate the candidates appearing for different government jobs. This decision will help candidates to write and appear the examination under one roof without paying multiple examination fees.
The CET score is not only valid for government jobs, but this score is also useful for recruitment into private companies. And this news will be very glad news to all the unemployed youth waiting to hold on to a good job.

According to statistics, there are almost 1.25 lakh vacancies every year in Group B and C in Railways, SSC, and banks. Every year 2.5 crore candidates all across India will apply for examinations to fill the vacancies. In the process, each candidate approximately appears for 50 other recruitment tests for getting into a stable government or private job.
